**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Childcare Teacher Assistant to join our team in Pittsfield. The ideal candidate will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of children aged [specific age range, e.g., 2 to 5 years]. The Teacher Assistant will help create a positive learning environment, assist with daily activities, and promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring that hygiene and safety protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff about daily activities and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their exploration and growth.
- Help track children’s progress and maintain accurate records as needed.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for working with children.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children at their level.
- Basic knowledge of child development principles and the ability to implement them in practice.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from the lead teacher.
- Must pass background checks as required.
