**Job Type:** Three Quarter Time, hourly 30-36 hours per week

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Childcare Meal Program Administrator to oversee and manage our meal program for children at [Organization Name]. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all meals served meet nutritional standards, cater to the diverse needs of children, and comply with local, state, and federal guidelines. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting healthy eating habits among young children.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive meal program that supports the dietary needs of children in our care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and nutritional guidelines.
- Collaborate with nutritionists, dietitians, and culinary staff to create balanced menus that reflect best practices in child nutrition.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of food supplies, placing orders as necessary while managing budget constraints.
- Coordinate meal times with childcare staff to ensure smooth service and enjoyable experiences for children.
- Conduct regular assessments of meal program effectiveness, gathering feedback from staff, parents, and children.
- Provide training and resources for childcare staff regarding food allergies, dietary restrictions, and the importance of nutrition.
- Promote educational initiatives focusing on healthy eating habits, including cooking workshops or nutrition classes for children and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of meal service, nutritional intake, and compliance documentation for audits or inspections.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to address any concerns or special dietary needs effectively.
- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in child nutrition and meal program management.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Culinary Arts, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in meal program administration or food service management, particularly in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of nutritional guidelines for children and food safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Passion for child nutrition and commitment to fostering a healthy environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with meal planning software (preferred).
