Job Description: Maintenance Staff

Part Time, hourly up to 30 hours per week 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Staff to join our team. The Maintenance Staff will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of our facility. They will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment, conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and providing general upkeep. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and minor repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures.
2. Diagnose mechanical issues, assess the extent of damage, and develop and implement effective repair strategies.
3. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
4. Maintain an organized inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies, and ensure their proper storage and usage.
5. Respond promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Collaborate with other staff members and contractors to coordinate repair or maintenance projects and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
7. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks as required.
8. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections.
9. Comply with all relevant safety regulations and company policies, and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
10. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to optimize maintenance operations and reduce costs.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a Maintenance Staff or in a similar role, ideally in a commercial or residential setting.
3. Strong knowledge of general maintenance activities, including repair techniques, safety protocols, and building systems.
4. Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair work.
6. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address maintenance issues.
8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear and concise reporting and interaction with team members, contractors, and management.
9. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
